CSV ↔ JSON
A small converter for simple tables. Choose your direction and delimiter, then paste your input.
A predictable table format
CSV starts with unique, non-empty column headers. Every row must have the same number of fields. Quoted fields support delimiters, line breaks, and escaped double quotes. A final line break is ignored; other blank rows are treated as data.
JSON is an array of objects with the same columns and string values only. Values stay as text: “001”, dates, and “true” are not converted to numbers or booleans. CSV with only headers produces an empty JSON array; an empty JSON array cannot define CSV headers.
Downloaded CSV uses CRLF line endings. Cell contents are preserved, including spreadsheet formula characters. If opening untrusted data in a spreadsheet, review those cells first.
